About Me

Mary Kathryn Tippett is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Applied Languages and Intercultural Studies at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Specializing in the French language, she has taught English in France, worked at the Alliance Française of Atlanta (French language and cultural center), and currently resides in an administrative role in the Department of French & Italian at Emory University. She has also worked extensively with refugee youth and managed education programming at a local refugee resettlement agency. Mary Kathryn conducts research on Francophone minority groups, immigrant migration and youth studies, and she eventually plans to teach middle or high school French.
